2020...A New Decade!

Welcome to 2020!

 

It's amazing to think we are at the beginning of a brand new decade. The beginning of any new year tends to bring new hope and excitement for positive changes to take place, and the beginning of a new decade is no different, helping us to refocus and reset our goals for the years ahead.

 

You will be 10 years older than you are now at the end of this new decade....Have you given any thought to what the next 10 years will be like for you? In particular, have you thought about where your health will be in 10 years time, or where you'd like it to be?

 

One thing I can say is this....your health will be where you take it. With the exception of accidents, you have the ability to design the path that your health will take through the choices you make. What choices you ask? The choice of food you put into your body, the choice of what type of thoughts you allow into your mind, the choice of how you move and strengthen your body, the choice of how you live your life, and the choice of how you manage your daily stresses.

 

This is the simple reality of health.

 

What we eat, matters.

What we think, matters.

What we do to strengthen our body, matters.

What we do in our lives, matters.

What we do to manage stress, matters.

 

All of these things impact our health for the better or worse, and it's a matter of choice which way it will be.

 

2020 is a fresh start, no matter where you are at healthwise. We are only 5 days into January and it's a great time to do an audit of your health and your body, and set your goals to take yourself to a new level of feeling better than you do now. Each of us is in a different place and have different needs and it's never too late to make improvements.

 

Maybe exercise is not your favourite thing and hasn't been on your radar.

Maybe you want to gain a few kilos.

Maybe you want to lose a few kilos.....that's me!

Maybe you want to drink more water and feel hydrated.

Maybe you want to become a vegan.

Maybe you want to follow a paleo diet.

Maybe you want to give up coffee or alcohol.

Maybe you want to learn how to manage your stress.

Maybe you want to sleep better.

 

There are so many things that you might want to change or improve. I want you to know that it's possible. I want to encourage you to pick something from your wish list and make it happen. Let 2020 be the year that begins your transformation.

 

You've got this you know. Just by being born, you have won the biggest race you'll ever do in your life....you beat all those other little swimmers vying for a place to be nurtured and nourished in your mother's womb in order to be born into this world. You are, by virtue of your birth, a winner, and that means you have what it takes to make any changes you want or need to make in your life.

 

Let 2020 be the year that you take the next step to taking control of your health, and make those changes necessary for this new decade to be your best yet.
